How to read VIX: VIX measures implied volatility — market participants' expectations for near-term price swings. A rising VIX = rising fear/uncertainty. A falling VIX = complacency or calm.

NSE India Volatility Index — measures expected 30-day volatility of Nifty 50 options. High IVix (>20) = fear; Low (<13) = complacency.

🇺🇸 CBOE VIX CBOE:VIX

The original 'Fear Index' — measures expected 30-day volatility of S&P 500 options. <15 calm · 15–25 moderate · >30 high fear.

🇦🇺 A-VIX (ASX XVI) ASX:XVI

S&P/ASX 200 Volatility Index — Australian equity market fear gauge. Tracks expected volatility of ASX 200 options.

🇪🇺 VSTOXX (V2X) EUREX:V2TX

Euro Stoxx 50 Volatility Index — European equivalent of VIX. Measures 30-day implied volatility of Euro Stoxx 50 options.
